DR Psychotherapy
Donna Rumsey MClinSci,PGDip. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist registered to practice with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Forum for Independent Psychotherapists (FiP). Having originally qualified as a bereavement counsellor, I continued to study, gaining my Post Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies, followed by my Master of Clinical Science degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
I have over twenty years of experience in the field, spending the last twelve years in NHS Secondary Care services, helping people with complex, severe and enduring mental health difficulties. I always listen and respond to the needs of the client to negotiate the most helpful way of working with each individual.
Although my background is in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, over many years of working in the NHS, I have developed a way of working using different techniques, current approaches and flexible methods adapted to meet the needs of each client.
My Private Practice is in Wales but I also offer therapy online and by telephone. I work with adults, individually and in groups. I am also a fully qualified Supervisor.
